Makeblock 3d printer

#1

I received 3D printer last week and build to date has been great. Got a few bolts wrong and had to rebuild partly, but all in all going well. lots of questions would be great to get answered:

  1. Should i use locktite on the bolts?

  2. the PC control software does not have makeblock printer in its settings, so what machine settings should i use (e.g. nozzle size, bed size, temp etc). can someone post some screenshots of their settings.

  3. have not got their yet, but thinking ahead how do i calibrate teh machine - is it done automatically or do i have to manually do this?

Thanks

Piers

Hi piers,

  1. We have use lock nuts to fasten the connection. If you worry about the connection, of course you can use locktite on the bolts.

  2. We have updated the document “3D Printer Software Guide”, so you can follow the instruction to use PC control sofware and calibrate the machine. Here is the download link: https://github.com/Makeblock-official/3DPrinter/blob/master/4.%203D%20Printer%20Software%20Guide.pdf?raw=true

Thanks,

I just got it up and running. I had to change the direction of the Y motor to make it work - ie the reverse to the manual. not sure why this is, motor is definitely configured teh same way as instructions and photos.

just printing the spool wheels - exciting

Maybe the reason for having to swap the wire on the Y motor is the belt underneath attaches to platform on lower belt in the instruction but it makes sense to attach the higher belt to the platform to reduce flexing and then motor works correctly…

Part 4 of the instructions make life a lot easier! Thanks

One more question. What is the turning knob next to the LCD for?

Thanks

#6

Turning knob: press it and you’ll see?

#7

press it and yes i understand, but none the wiser about what turning it does. It says FR 100% on the screen - what does this represent?

Thanks

Ah. Sorry. I thought you would get to the menu right away when you pressed the button? Turning the button will normally change the printing speed from it’s default 100%. Pressing it so it clicks, will open a menu that allows you to control most aspects of the printer.

Congratulation you! And we have found the question is that some settings of configuration files are wrong, we have updated. You can get the latest resources https://github.com/Makeblock-official/3DPrinter

Good day! I have a problem with this: Printer stopped due to errors. Fix error and use M999 to restart.
So this is a problem with extruder termistor. Please give me information about type of termistor, model and all technical specification. Thank you!
