Make X-Y Plotter smaller

Hello
i want to make the Plotter little bit smaller (shorter) i would buy 2x Beam 0824-320 and use this instead of the 496mm one problem then is that i need another linear motion Shaft aswell and in your shop these dont match with 320mm… So ill have to shorten the Shaft by myself right?

I think so since there is no linear motion shaft D8 x 320mm available for sell on Makeblock shop.
