Line follower sensor didn't work

Hello,
Line follower sensor of my MBot didn’t work.
I downloaded line following program form internet and run it and place MBot over the black line.
But LED on line follower sensor didn’t blink as in video clip and MBot just run forward and it didn’t read black line. How can I fix that error.

First, please check if the cable is plugged in correctly at both ends.

The cable is connected correctly.
Besides,I flipped mbot vertically and
line follower sensors show blue light when line follower sensor face with daylight . It doesn’t even work in room with electric light only in day light :expressionless:.But didn’t read black and white, just blue led blink. What should I do.

The black line has to be really black. Usually drawing with a pencil or felt pen is not black enough. Printing a black line is fine. Or use a black duct tape (make sure it is not shiny).
Does that work?

I use black tape on white vinyl.
But still didn’t work. 🥺
