I’m a teacher and very new to this. Trying to get students learning to code an mBot Ranger, using Makeblock5. The students have managed to get it running and avoiding obstacles, while red lights on backwards and green lights on forwards. We are trying to get reading of light sensor and distance while in motion. I’m currently waiting for a bluetooth dongle. In the meantime we are trying to get a reading for light sensor and distance with USB plugged in, but nothing. Can anyone help us with getting a reading while the robot moves? Sitting on 0 at the moment. Happy to use USB just to see a reading at the moment.

On the page, it shows “upload mode” enabled, the mBlock software won’t keep connection if you upload program to the robot. That is too say, under upload mode, the mBlock software won’t keep show any sensor values on the screen.
To read the values, there is a post, you may have a reference.
