The laserbot motors will not run is this because a encoder motor driver has been supplied and not the one other stepper motor driver?

Yup,you got an encoder motor driver.This is the driver that you were supposed to get. I would recommend messaging the distributor from which you bought the Laserbot,they should replace the drivers for free.

Just got the motor drivers from amazon & all works fine now cheers.
