Laser Engraver Y-Axis Limit Switches Not Working with Benbox

Hi.

I’ve just upgraded my XY Plotter v2.0 with the laser engraver upgrade kit, but both Y-axis limit switches do not work when using the Benbox software. They were working fine using GRemote software prior to the upgrade.

The X-axis limit switches operate as expected with the Benbox software, but only if plugged into port 8 (not as per instructions).

The Y-axis switches are physically OK because I’ve tested them by plugging them into port 8.

I’ve also tried plugging the Y-axis limit switches into other ports, but they still do not work.

I’m using …

Windows 8.1
Me BaseBoard v1.0
Me RJ25 Adapter v2.1
Benbox-Laser-Engraver-makeblock-2.4.20-20140922.exe
Benbox_Laser_for_makeblock_leo_20140901.hex

… and flushed the firmware with flush_firmware_for_makeblock_en.exe

Can you please advise?

Hi Pete,
I am facing the same problem with the Y-axis limit switch but I am also not able to switch the laser ON by the benbox software, is your laser working at all?

Sorry！The software limit switch function is not added.The new version of the software limit switch function will be added.

Apologies for the delay in responding. Looks like Ouyang beat me to it. Glad to hear you now have your laser working. Exactly the same thing happened to me, but managed to get it working eventually.

I had the same issue with the Y axis limit switches not working even with the original PlotterV2 firmware (I have the Arduino Leonardo based Me Baseboard), turns out they start working if you plug them into port 6 on the baseboard instead of port 3. Hope this works for you too!
