Is it legally allowed to make Third party hardware and mblock extension

#1

I made my own robot using existing blocks from mblock 3. I am now planning to make certain new extensions to enable some features of my robot. So both hardware and extension is third party. I plan to sell my robot in future. People will use those mblock extensions to program this robot.

I want to know if i am legally allowed to do so or not ?

It is. Please feel free to do so.

You have all the right on your extension, and you are free to distribute mBlock binaries as it is, both version 3 and 5, and use it commercially or non-commercially.

mBlock is a great and easy way to visually program anything that can be connected to an Arduino and Makeblock did a great deal of the job by delivering cards and modules (ORION, AURIGA and MegaPI, for instance) with a lot of ready-made extensions. Should you need to learn more about coding with mBlock and develop your own extensions, may I suggest my book (in french for instance…) which could maybe help you?
Sincerely yours
Dominique
