IR receiver doesn't work on one of my mbots

Hi,

Been really enjoying the two mbots I bought for my sons and I’m truly impressed with this little kit.

We’ve tested most everything but it seems one of the IR receivers is not working on one of the mcore boards. The IR remotes both with fine on the other mbot.

Does anyone have suggestions as to how I might be able to determine the issue is? I will experiment and see if I can get the mcore board to report on whether it sees anything when I point the remote at it.

Unfortunately I sent get it to with. What’s the procedure for getting it exchanged?

I managed to get it to work. I believe it had something to do with the default program not loading properly. Without that working correctly, my testing of the IR remote would not work. Now that it’s loaded, everything is working fine .

Normally, there are possibilities:

  1. The old firmware is defective, please make your computer connected with mBot and upgrade the firmware to the Reset default program via mBlock software.
  2. The battery is in low power, please put a brand new battery for the IR
  3. If the above are ok, kindly check if the RGB LED would turn on when press A/B/C button. If the RGB LEDs turn on, which means the IR is fine, the problem may come from the other part, and you can also send email to support@makeblock.cc for further asistance.
