iPad App - Connect and communicate with multiple devices at once

#1

I have an idea to create a competitive game with 2 players with 2 Halocode and Cyberpi devices
each player will use the motion sensor of each device to control each sprite on the same background on the iPad
is it possible?
I see that the iPad can only connect to 1 device at a time, when connecting a new device it will disconnect the old device.

Has anyone done something similar?
I want to make a simple game to play with my son

@ugnobita I don’t think you can use upload mode broadcast or live mode to connect to multiple devices at once. You might be able to on a PC or the online version:
https://ide.mblock.cc
But not in the app. You could try using the user cloud message extension if you have an mBlock account, but that will be rather slow, so only use it if you have good internet.

I tried the mBlock App on PC (windows 10).
Both halocode and Cyberpi were plugged by USB cable.
1st device: connected no problem
2nd device: connected then disconnected immediately :frowning:

Maybe the only way left is to use user cloud message.

 There was a version that introduced support for multiple device connection, but it was experimental and didn’t always work.

User cloud message might work, but it is very slow. You can also try to use your LAN through Wi-Fi. I’ll have to look into that more to see if I can help you.
