I started with an mBot and my Android Tablett but the reaction time was to slow. So I wanted to use mBlock with the mBot and was successful so far. But what happens when I connect the mBot via USB next day (and every other day so far) is not like it should be. Before I start the software I connect the mBot via USB. Windows 7 pro is always (!) looking for new drivers. After this when I start mBlock there ist no serrial port. I have to start “Install Arduino Driver” and after that I can start. This can not be, like it should be…
Thank you for help.
"Install Arduino Driver" every Day
Hi mgbig,
Is there any special settings on your PC that will delete the installed driver once it restart? Do you have the other Windows 7 computer you can give a try?
Besides, do you use the latest version mBlock 3.4.11?
I did not tell the computer to do so. I have really no idea what happens here.
I am thinking about the 2,4G Modul to connect. Is this as fast as the USB connection?
I do have several other PCs, but only one notebook, which is best to go with makeblock. I downloaded the software 10 days ago, so I think it is the newest (notebook is not on at the moment, I will look for that tonight!)
Thank you so far.
Hi mgbig,
2.4G connection is ok but it doesn’t support upload program function on mBlock.
For this issue, please check the settings under the service have a try. Refer to the pictures below to find the MakeBlockIdeServicePlus, make sure the service status is started and the Startup Type is Automatic.

Ups, I could not find the entry MakeBlockIdeServicePlus, I could not find any entry with MakeBlock. But today I was lucky and both were connected in one go, without any installation. I have no idea what went wrong. Will see what will happen tomorrow.
By the way: My computer is all in German, but the entry has to be something with MakeBlock anyway ??? I made an export of the list and seached for “makeblock” without any finds…
Hi mgbig,
Yes, normally it has to be something wiht Makeblock. Maybe the settings on your computer is different if you can’t find it.
Since it works today, please temporarily ignore this settings and keep checking tomorrow.
Hi!
Today it looked like it didn’t want to work again. But after a few minutes the COM selection in the Connect menu was there. So it might be, that it just take some time. (without any new installation )
The problem was probably, that I was a bit to nervous. Just give the start a little time and it is all well. When connecting the mBot I can har a sound from the mBot, but it is not possible to connect. After something about 3-5 minutes there is another sound from the mBot and connecting is possible. My notebook is not the newest, that might be the reason.
Hi mgbig,
Yeah, thanks for your further info. If it is possible, you may change a newer computer have a try.
