I have the mBlock Ranger and can’t get it to communicate with my pc. I have windowsXP. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I also uninstalled Bit Defender antivirus an have set my windows firewall to approve. When i select connect it says the device can not be detected.

Please check first if there is a device under device manager:
If there is no device, that means it fails to detect the hardware device, you may try to change usb cable, usb port.
If it shows yellow exclamation mark against the device name, probably the arduino driver fails to install. Please try to install arduino driver manually in mBlock 3:
If you have mBlock 5, please check my email which contains the driver, mBlock 3 can also use the driver if you cannot install the driver in mBlock 3 software.
