I’m wondering if the schematics for the line sensor and ultrasonic sensor are available somewhere? I would also like to have the source for the default firmware running on the mBot (with A,B,C button functions).
I really like the mBot, and my son like the features in the default fw, but neither collision avoidance, nor line following works in an acceptable manner. In case of line following the trigger levels for one sensor are much higher than the other, and it doesn’t run on anything but completely white paper with completely black lines. (We would like to use it with white masking tape on dark grey floor.) For the ultrasonic sensor there are a lot of false values coming from the sensor. When the robot is moving it regularly reports distances over 4 meters when the obstacle is in 10 cm’s away. This makes the robot jump back and forth in front of an obstacle, and instead of avoiding it.
I would like to fix these problems in the firmware, but I need source and schematics to see how the current implementation is working.
