How to get rid of the code on mBot so I can use remote

I’m using the browser version of mBlock and I upload code using wire. I want to use the IR remote, i’ve read the past pages and are pretty confusing for my “smol brain”. What I know is that I need to remove the existing code from the mBot for the remote to work. How do I do that?

Another way is that you can update mBot’s firmware back to factory version, here’s the guide: http://docs.makeblock.com/mbot/en/faq/faq.html#4-how-to-reset-default-program-and-update-the-firmware-of-mbot-in-mblock5
