How to cut through thicker wood with Laserbox?

Hello people,

I have a problem, i want to cut thick plywood plate, i read in the manual that the laserbox can cut till 15 mm ??
i tried a piece of wood yesterday from 8 mm thick but the laser did not go thru the wood.
How do i laser thick wooden plates? ( settings , kind of wood etc ???)

It all depends on wood type, I’d start with 95-100% laser power and slower cutting speeds. Also check if your mirrors and lens are clean, dirt can drastically impact cutting performance.

Yes, @Bleky has given you some good tips, particularly:

What type of wood are you using, how hard is it, etc.?
I’d recommended a thin and non-dense wood like Balsa.
