I’m reproducing pencil markings on sheet music. Location and legibility is all that matters–if a bit of jiggle makes its way into the output that’s totally not a problem. (you should see how badly humans do at marking their music) So I’d like to run my XY Plotter 2.0 faster.
If I set the driver dip switches to something other than HHH am I going to damage any components? I’ve found with a quick experiment that 1/4 speed seems good for my needs, and even 1/2 might be just fine.
The only catch I’ve found is that if I speed up the drivers I have to reduce the image size in mDraw accordingly so the output is right. 1/16 speed = full size, 1/8 speed = half size, 1/4 speed = quarter size…
(switch 1, 2, 3)
Full speed LLL
1/2 speed HLL
1/4 speed LHL
1/8 speed HHL
1/16 speed HHH
