How can I get the mBot to upload when it is turned off?

I was following this video here at the end:

In the video, the mBot, seemingly, it turned off and he uploads. However, this does not work for me. When the Mbot it turned off, I get an error uploading with the usb cable attached.
How is this accomplished where I can use the “when mbot starts up” (on/off) switch to begin running the code?

That’s impossible. The mbot has to be on for it to upload code.

Yeah, I am not sure how he did it. However, I am starting to use the SENSING block that lets the user press the button before the program starts which enables it to be run untethered

The lights don’t look on in the video, probably because he turned the exposure on his camera waaay up.

The mBot must be on to receive code. :slight_smile:
