[EN]Hello everyone was following my infatuation for Makeblock I decide that a French community had to create in France. For this I made a website (http://tout-sur-la-robotique.fr) or is articles but also small booklet for kits Makeblock I of course translated into French for the community francophone. [FR] Bonjour à tous suite a mon engoument pour Makeblock j’ai décider qu’une communauté francaise devait se créer en France. Pour cela j’ai fait un site internet (http://tout-sur-la-robotique.fr) ou se trouve des articles mais aussi des petit livret pour les kits Makeblock que j’ai bien sur traduit en français pour la communauté francophone. Tout le travail effectué sur ce site à vu c’est jour ci de nouveaux membres au sein de ma page Facebook des articles sur mon travail ont aussi vu le jour sur le site CultureMaker (dont je mettrai les deux article ou l’on parle de Makeblock en fin de message.

Ma volonté forte pour que Makeblock soit connu en France est que chacun puisse réaliser les kits grâce au traductions faite sont ma force de motivation, j’aimerai aussi que toute l’équipes makeblock soutienne cette engagement en fesant un forum partagé en deux, explication forum makeblock avec makeblock communauté anglaise et forum makeblock avec communauté francophone.

Cela permettrai de pouvoir répondre et regrouper tous fan de Makeblock au sein d’un même forum fait en deux grande categories Francais - Anglais.

I don’t see the point of having split forums for different languages. That just becomes more confusing and if there’s a French forum, then we should have one for every other language.

I believe it’s better to have one forum and you can post in whatever language you please. Those that don’t speak it can use google translate.

If you create a community outside of here, you’re just isolating yourself from everyone else. Makeblock will be more successful with a large international group, rather than individual micro-cultures.

Most websites are translated into English and French, with Spanish see three.

My goal is that French is not left because of a language barrier of all to be accessible to anyone, even a person does not understand English.

La plupart des sites sont traduits en anglais et en langue française, voir trois avec l’espagnol.

Mon objectif est que le français ne soit pas laissée à cause d’une barrière de la langue de tous pour être accessible a quiconque, même une personne ne comprend pas l’anglais.

But then in fairness should translations be for every language? What’s to say French is more popular than German or Spanish? I just don’t think it’s fair to say that translations for one language after more important than others. Unless a majority of forum users all fort it.

What I think would be interesting know the community makeblock be it English, French, Spanish and any other language translated his face like me could allow makeblock has to have a website and a forum in several languages longest and translate. It’s the games between each little community to bring its translation so that the community is internationnal.

Ce qui serait interessant je pense sais que la communauté makeblock que se soit anglais, francais, espagnol et tout autre langue face comme moi traduise sa pourrait permettre a makeblock d’avoir un site et un forum en plusieurs langues le plus long et de traduire. C’est la qu’entre en jeux la communauté chacun peu apporter sa traduction afin que la communauté soit internationnal.

So, as Makeblock is a chinese startup company, why not starting with a chinese language branch here…:-)) ?
I guess this makes it clear that splitting the originate Makeblock forum would not help anybody. Sorry francophone people out there; I have worked many years with french scientists and even on a french science vessel (the famous “Marion Dufresne”) and I know you don’t want to hear it, but the international language is english, period.

However, I absolutely appreciate the buildup of alternative forums, blogs, whatsoever for the topic. Diversity (also regarding languages) can only attract more people, not less. The idea of a big ‘one serves it all’ solution is just a myth. Remember the UNIX/Linux idea instead: Do one thing and do it right! So go for an additional french forum platform and link to here from there so people can find both. The same should be done here at Makeblock forum and in the wiki: Makeblock should set up a page dedicated to related websites, forums, blogs, whatsoever, so people can easily explore the growing Makeblock community. I believe time is right for forums in other languages, but this original forum should stay english. I am German but live in Norway, btw. So how about a Norwegian community? We even have a distributor for Makeblock products here.

think everyone should take the site Makeblock in his language with forums, wiki etc so it is available in all the languages as possible.
