Dual Motor Driver supply voltage

#1

When using an external power source with the Dual Driver will the voltage be controllable and will it be isolated from the main board?

Are you using the breakout pins? It appears from the old single motor driver schematic that they are isolated, but you’ll have to vary the input voltage for control.

Might be easier just to use a relay:

Thanks for the response. I was hopping to isolate M1, M2, Port 1,and Port 2 from the main board, but that’s not possible. I changed my idea and I’m now using an eight AA battery holder with NiMH batteries, the pack supplies roughly 10v to the orion board and feed the ports, I’ve also added a Raspberry Pi to project to handle the routines.
