Driver for MAC and CH340G chip is not OK

#1

After the last update for MAC OSX software I got a system crash when I put the usb connector into the macbook air
I have installed the old version driver and install the new driver
The driver has version 1.0 and generated on 26 september 2016
My question is do I have the correct version

In my first message there is a little fault

I has first uninstalled the old ch340g driver and installed new driver

#3

I can confirm this,… macOS 10.12 did brake the ch34x driver (again)

#4

Thanks
I hope that the Chinees people correct the driver for 64bit version of OSX
We need the driver for experiment whit the XY plotter
On windows 10 64bit that kind of driver works correct.

For this moment I am using macOS Sierra 10.12.1 on a Macbook air
The crash which I got when I connect the MakeBlock ORION is a Stack segment error so far I can onderstand the error report. After the crash the system try to reboot and I need to remove usb cable to the Orion board to getting a normal system start.
So the driver is not ok.

Problem solved by Dutch company
See link mac-usb-serial.com

#7

There is also a signed beta driver (see this link) that I’ve been using that seems to work.

This is the same site with I mean.
For this moment I writing al little program to control the Orion board.
I use XOJO software because the project file can also compiled and run on a window machine and for linux.
I combine the make block xyplotter with the software for special measuring system and sensors
Totally is makblock a cheap test system

I have contacted the creator of the mac-usb-serial.com driver and he is working on a even more stable version (to be released soon)
I have a need for a driver for the mBot / Arduino’s and ESP8266 boards searched and found (a different source but same driver)
https://github.com/xvoland/My-Arduino-Config-Files < and download and install CH34x_Install_V1.3.zip

if this still crashes your system as with mine remove all other Prolific / usbserial etc drivers (and reboot before installing the above drivers) – your mileage may vary

I’m a happy camper again
