Does mBot2/mBot Neo require the Bluetooth dongle to connect?

I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to connect my PC to mBot over Bluetooth. My computer has Bluetooth and connects to other devices perfectly.
Does the mBot2 require the Bluetooth dongle? Is that what I’m missing?

For the Mac,the latest version mBlock can use it’s built-in bluetooth to upload the codes to the mBots and neo,about PC and Laptop we suggest you buy Makeblock Bluetooth dongle then you can connect to these devices seamlessly.

Thanks for the reply! This answers so many questions.

It might help if you put a little disclaimer saying that the Bluetooth dongle is needed at the top of the “how to connect to PC” section of the documentation. I spent several hours on Christmas morning trying to figure this out.
