Differences in printed and online manual

#1

I recently bought a IR starter robot at a discount at Radio Shack. I noticed many differences in the online version vs the printed manual. Most of these are minor although I do find it interesting that the online cover page shows the batteries above the Orion board and the directions have the batteries below the Orion. Are the manuals for different versions?

Also the printed manual mentions 38 tank tread parts and the online shows 40. Which is correct? I did get 40 parts but I used 38 as the manual mentioned. I then tried the 20 but it was too loose. I am hoping I did not stretch out the treads causing them to slip too much.

Also I did the test on my motors and the robot doesn’t turn. I thank Makerblock for letting us replace them. I was wondering if anyone is having difficulty getting them replaced and any tips that may help me with the replacement beyond the ones mentioned in the official replacement procedure?

Once I get them replaced I’m looking forward to having fun with it and hopefully helping other forum members by posting code of some of the experiments I want to try.
