Controlling mbot through nodemcu esp8266

hello everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone has used esp8266 with mbot ?
I already have my program running through the esp8266 and I need to control the mbot through the esp8266 for example on/off or some basic command such as go right and left anyone has idea?
