Connect mBot to Internet through Wifi?

#1

I have a mBot Blue. I would like to connect it to a IoT service through the Wifi of my home router.

The documentation here http://learn.makeblock.com/en/me-wifi/ only explains how to connect using an Orion board.

The other Wifi module http://learn.makeblock.com/en/2-4g-wireless-serial/ has no information if it can be used to access the Internet.

Can someone explain how I could connect the mBot to the Internet? Which module do I need?

The same problem i was facing with the wifi router when i tried this one, http://marconetworking.com/download-wifi-speed-booster-software-for-pc-free/
It has boosted my wifi, I really like it. Hope you’ll solve your problem as well.

Hi Andreas,

Since there is no serial communication function on RJ25 ports of mBot, the me wifi module cannot be used with mBot.
The 2.4G wireless serial is only used to do wireless program on mBot for online debug, it cannot be used to access the Internet.

Ok, thanks. I’ll try to use a smartphone as Bluetooth / Internet bridge instead.
