Compilation Error, MegaPi with Arduino IDE

Hi guys I need your help ,

I currently working on school project , I’m building robot using MegaPi as a microcontroller , i tape line of code in arduino IDE but since there is no MegaPi card to choose in device (in arduino IDE) I cannot put the code into my megapi board , i choose it arduino IDE the arduino mega that uses the same microcontroller ATMEGA2560 , but it’s not working,

I get this error message when i televerse the code :

exit status 1
Compilation error for Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560 board

@mblockAI says:

The “exit status 1” error in Arduino IDE usually indicates a compilation error. It means that there was an issue during the compilation process, and the program failed to build successfully for the Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560 board.

Here are a few common causes and solutions for this error:

  1. Verify the board selection: Make sure that you have selected the correct board from the “Tools” menu in the Arduino IDE. For Arduino Mega or Mega 2560, the board selection should be “Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560”.

  2. Check for missing or incorrect libraries: If your code relies on external libraries, ensure that they are correctly installed. Go to the “Sketch” menu, navigate to “Include Library”, and verify that the required libraries are present. If any libraries are missing, you can install them using the Arduino Library Manager.

  3. Resolve syntax errors: Review your code for any syntax errors, such as missing semicolons, parentheses, or incorrect variable names. Syntax errors can prevent successful compilation. The error message displayed in the Arduino IDE will provide clues about the specific issue. Fixing these errors should resolve the compilation error.

  4. Check for conflicts: Sometimes, conflicting libraries or code can cause compilation errors. Try removing any recently added code or libraries to see if the error persists. If it does, analyze any error messages or warnings in the Arduino IDE’s output window for more details.

If you are still facing issues after following these steps, please provide the specific error message you are encountering. Additionally, sharing your code can help me provide more targeted assistance.

It would be nice if you could provide the code you are using, and a bit more info about your setup. Also, try uploading a code to the board with mBlock and see if it works, and also if you have any other boards then test them with your Arduino IDE setup.

Additionally, are you using the MegaPi or the MegaPi Pro board?
