Can't upload a program

#1

I have installed mblock, installed the usb driver, updated the firmware and I still can’t get passed “upload failed” I have chosen -Auriga and connected through port 3 still nothing. Read the posts and followed along but nothing is happening. I have 10 of the kits ready to go for my students and can’t get them working. Very frustrating. The students are really wanting to get the robots working. I have read related posts but nothing seems to be helping. I have Windows 10 installed if that makes any difference.
thanks

Does the Upgrade Firmware option fail or is it failing when you try to upload a program after that? Also, you might want to post a screen shot of the Connect->Serial Ports menu after you have connected the robot and turned it on. If the robot is off, mBlock may not see it.

Upload firmware seems to run okay and I see the lights blinking on the ranger but when I upload it fails.

@jelson This might be informative, though it’s MacOS specific: http://forum.makeblock.cc/t/cannot-install-mspider-firmware-on-mac-resolved-steps-described/4180/3

Been doing some more experimenting and I can finally run programs through the USB but I still can’t upload to Arduino. Still UPLOAD FAILED. Fun getting to see something happening though. I lOVE Robotics. Once I can upload and unplug from the computer where is the play program button the Rover? Thanks for taking the time to help problem solve. I promise I will pass on all this great info to may 180 students.

I have followed both of the procedures and nothing new. Still Upload Failed Getting better at programming and troubleshooting but not sure what to do next. Could it be windows 10 related, or security software?

Hi Jelson,

Can you see the “Upload finish” when you upgrade the firmware?
Do you mind to post the program you try to upload? Please also close the other Arduino IDE installed in the system to avoide the interference on mBlock.

Besides, please change the USB cable have a check. The security software may have an influence either.
Normally, there is no special issue between mBlock and Windows 10, do you have another PC to try?

I will check the cable and try on another computer. How do I close the other Arduino installed on the system?
Thanks

Hi Jelson,

The program is normal.
I’d like to hear the result after tried with different USB cable and PC.
As for closing the Arduino IDE installed on PC, just make sure there is Arduino software running on the PC.

If still the issue with other PC, please add my skype account (1021306172@qq.com) and we may arrange a remote access to check it.
