Hello there! You are using the PC Version, have you tried the Online IDE? Click the link to go to the online IDE to test to see if you can use Python there.

#3

Thanks for the answer.
Onlne it seems working.
Here a screenshot:

How can I use also the pc version.
It has alredy worked in the pc version. But don’t why it doesn’t work anymore.
kindly regards

#4

Good job! Glad it worked. The PC version may have a glitch, not allowing users to use the Python editor. I’ll look how to fix it later if you prefer the PC version.

#5

kindly regards for the answer.
Yes I prefer the pc version.
Hope you can help me because it has already worked a week ago.
kindly regards.

#6

Ok. I am going to run through a list of items that you can possibly do to fix the problem.
From the screenshots you sent, it appears you are on Windows.

  • Try reinstalling mLink, and ensure that you have the right version for Windows.
  • Try running mLink as administrator. If you do not know how to run mLink as administrator, please contact @Best_codes.
  • Check to see if mLink is running in Task Manager. In order to access Task Manager, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE at the same time, and then click on “Task manager.” If it is running but not responding, end the process and restart mLink.

@haiflosse1 and @Rosco

The editor in the screenshot here is not the online Python editor.

The online Python editor can be found here:
https://python.mblock.cc

It’s recommended to use in a Chromium-based browser, but it usually works in Firefox as well.

The PC Python editor is a copy of the online one (at python.mblock.cc), but it has bugs. Sometimes, it can’t detect mLink. This bug will hopefully be fixed in a future release.

Try starting mLink, then opening the online Python editor. If it doesn’t detect mLink, you should contact the support email about it:
support@makeblock.com

#8

Oh, thanks for the clarification. Makeblock’s software is so devolved that main features don’t even work anymore.

#9

thanks for the answer.
In the onlineversion python.mblock.cc I will get the same error:

So I will contact support@makeblock.com

kindly regards

#10

@haiflosse1
If you click “Already installed, start now”, does it just check again and give the same error? If so, you should contact support like you said.

#11

When I click “Already installed, start now” only the mlink window will appear

in the online version I have still the same message.
kindly regards

#12

@haiflosse1 Got it. You are correct; you should contact support.
It will be helpful if you tell them your PC type (Windows, macOS, etc.) and version, and the same for your browser.

#13

Thanks for the information.
I check the taskmanager and notice that mlink is started 10times

is this normal or maybe the falt.
kindly regards

#14

Yes, it is normal for programs to sometimes have many subprocesses.

#15

Wow. I did notice it is 32bit. Do you have a 64 bit CPU, @haiflosse1?

#16

yes I have 64bit cpu. How can I ceck if I have installed the 64bit version?

#17

I saw you have the 32 bit version in the screenshot you provided. That shouldn’t effect it, though. I don’t know why it is not working.
