Can the DC motors be powered from seperate source?

Has anyone attempted to provide power for the DC motors from a seprate source?

@Brad, theoretically speaking, its ok for you to do so, but if you connect the seprate power source, how do you control the speed?

Good point, unlike a regular UNO with a motor shield there wouldn’t be a way of controlling the speed.

Would supplying the board with 12 volts possible help?

@Brad, if you supply 12 volts，of course you can program to control the movement of DC motors.

I picked up a 12v battery case at R/S so I could supply the unit with additional power, I’ll let you know the results ASAP. My next choice is to replace the 6v motors with a 12v motors.
