Camera + MBot + Duck = FUN

Hey there everyone!

I just wanted to share a quick project that took less than 30 minutes to make with the mbot,Skype, an oldd phone and a laptop!

I attached an old smart phone I had laying around downloaded Skype to it.
Opened Skype on my Laptop
Used my current phone to navigate mBot trough the house while watching everyone from my laptop

Super Easy no fancy requirements here

The duck is a phone holder I bought at my local Japanese Dollar store Daiso Japan!

You could get a similar phone holder off ebay by searching “cute phone holder plush”.

I just used electrical tape to tape the duck case to the 1 and 3 blocks on the mbot MCore.

Another question. :slight_smile:
My old iphone doesn’t act as a phone anymore… Just has other smartphone functions. How do you connect via Skype from laptop to old phone without using video-call function?
Thanks in advance!! I’m trying to set up the mbot for my grandson.

*You will need 2 different Skype accounts

  1. Download the Skype app to your old phone.

  2. Then then sign in to skype for Web to your laptop
    https://login.skype.com/login?client_id=578134&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.skype.com%2F

*might be asked to install some additional plug-ins

  1. Call the Skype account you are using on your laptop from your phone.
