Can I use a generic bluetooth dongle with the mbot or does it have to be a makeblock specific dongle? Thanks

Hi TPRobotics,
Makeblock will always recommend their bluetooth dongle. It works great and is supported.
My desktop PC has internal bluetooth which works really well with the mBot. However, my other PC is not working.
Conclusion: I am expecting a generic bluetooth dongle from Aliexpress around April 20th. I’ll give you some news.

Hi TPRobotics, as there are different Bluetooth protocols among the Bluetooth devices in the market, we cannot guarantee you that if it would be compatible with mBot if you buy a third-party dongle. Like Crackel said, for some models, it works, but for some other models it doesn’t. But if you use a Makeblock Bluetooth Dongle, it’s guaranteed to be working greatly, otherwise you will be able to get a new one via after-sale. Hope this could help.
