Base Me-BaseBoard v.1.1 led always red

I bought a Robot Starter KIT and I can not detect the “Base Me Shield V2.0”. Already experienced in Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Ubuntu.I always have a code 10 (The device can not be initialized).
But the problem is that the LED (Me Base Shield V2.0) is always red. This is not normal is it?
