Hi mblock community,
I had developed a flask server that is broadcasting some random values in a Rest API on localhost. I am using XMLHttpRequest module to get the values from the API into the mblock extension.
This setup was first not working at all. I checked it on mblock web and then checked the Google Chrome console to see what was wrong. There it became clear that mblock web required the connection to be HTTPS rather than HTTP. This problem was resolved by making Self-Signed SSL certificates and then using those for the localhost. I can now successfully get data from the server.
However, for mblock PC, the problem still persists. My extension is unable to get data from the server with or without the certificates. Does Makeblock forbid the use of localhost as server for Mblock PC? What should I do to make it working? Do you expect us to buy trusted certificates from some intranet signing authority for making that server work?
Thank you.
Are Self-Signed SSL certificates blocked for localhost on mblock PC?
