Anyone able to get the bluetooth app to work?

I’ve tried multiple different phones android and IOS, even picked up a separate kit and still the app can control everything except Motor 1 and 2. Has anyone had any luck with it?

Sorry for that iOS app has a wrong firmware file (new version sumbitted to Appstore will publish after about a week). The new firmware for orion is updated. Please check it , if your app doesn’t work for control dc motors. https://github.com/Makeblock-official/Makeblock-Firmware/tree/master/tool

which firmware should one use for Arduino for the Inventor Electronic kit? what is its name and version number? Thanks for your help.

it appears that with the latest revisions, that there is now only one firmware that one can use. So this isn’t an issue anymore.

I recently purchased the ultimate robot kit (tank with arm) and I got everything together only to find that the Bluetooth application that is one of the only ways to control the unit was not working properly. I was able to get the arm to go up and down and the pinchers to work properly but the control for the m1,m2 motors did nothing at all. I messed with it and found that if I deleted the control that was originally provided and replaced it with the joystick I could get it to go but very poorly (incredibly choppy and inaccurate). I finally gave up on the app and went to the laptop to try my luck with the scratch program. I am very new to the programing and it seems simple enough to a degree. after a bit of time I was able to get the unit to drive forward, back, left, and right, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the armor the jaws working at all.
If any one has suggestions on the app issues or how to program the arm/jaws I would greatly appreciate it
