Android app

#1

I’m trying to use Roboremo Android app to control the mBot modules. I can make the Bluetooth connection, but I am unaware of what context the code needs to be in to communicate with the uploaded Arduino programming. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don’t think many of us here know much about your specific problem. You might try contacting some people at Roboremo or just try playing around with your Android device. If you haven’t already, rooting it could allow some greater experimentation.

Hi Dan_Ryan,
Neat idea, using Roboremo. I haven’t done this, but am keen to learn how. Looking around the Roboremo website, I see there’s a page that has a range of sample projects of varying complexity. Clicking on the simplest of these projects (“Arduino Bluetooth LED”), you can download the Arduino sketch (“sketch_bluetooth_led.ino”) and open it in the Arduino IDE. It’s not very long (<100 lines) and seems like it might not be too hard to figure it out and adapt to other purposes.
Let me know if you get anywhere with this!

Another possibility… does the Communication extension in Makeblock help with this? It has promising looking command blocks, like “send command” and “read command”, although perhaps they are only for the USB connection, not bluetooth. I made a quick look around the forums and found nothing that explains the use of the Communications extension. Anybody know?
