2.4G not working on Linux

#1

I do not know how to communicate with my mBot via 2.4G communication.

I have seen videos on how to do it with mBlock but cannot apply proposed solutions because mBlock does not run on linux.

Can anyone help me?

You can use Arduino to control mBot too. And then update the firmware here: http://forum.makeblock.cc/t/how-to-upload-the-firmware-of-me-orion-board/919

I have uploaded the mBot firmware to mCore board. Every time I turn on my board I hear one beep.

How do I upload a sketch from Arduino through 2.4G wireless module?
(I cannot choose the module by itself like I can choose USB connection under tools/serial port).

Actually you can copy and past your sketch form aruino to mBlock and upload to mBot board directly. Here is the screenshot:
Click Edit ->Arduino Mode

I see.

Is it possible to transfer data via 2.4G wireless module directly from Arduino to mBot without using mBlock software?
(The reason I would like to do this is because mBlock does not run “nativly” on Linux).

#6

Yes, definitely. You can control and program mBot with Arduino directly. Currently we don’t have tutorial for that. But i can share with you later when we completed the detail tutorial. But if you completed earlier than me, please share it with us too!
Thanks
