xTool D1 Pro unable to cut through anything

I just got this laser not even a week ago and since I got it I have not been able to cut through anything with the laser. I have a 10W xTool D1 Pro. I have tried using power 10, 20, 25, 50 and I am unable to cut through the cork material that was included with the laser. When I try power 100 it burns the material and the fire alarm on the laser goes off and stops cutting. Please advise.

I have just received the pro d1 20 w and exactly same, laser not firing.

Still awaiting response from xtool, really wish I had kept my atomstack.laser
