Ultrasonic sensor v3.0 0 readout

Hi,

I got the starter kit with Ultrasonic Sensor V3.0.
The sensor simply doesn’t work, the red LED on the back is on, tried with several other cables, tried all ports 3-8.

It is the same within mBlock and Aurduino IDE serial monitor. distance reading is always 0 :frowning:
As I see I am not the only one with it but could not find any solution in the forums yet.
Is there any other way to test the sensor?

One of the small capacitors in between C2 and C6 was slightly off, after soldiering back I got perfect reading.
Just had to adjust software as when there is no reflection at all I still get zero instead of a large number.
