What is the function of the Test switch?

Hi there,
I am new to this forum and new to mBlock. I am wordking in version 5 of mBlock and there is a button Test. I wonder what the exact function is. When I switch it off some typical Scratch blocks are disabled. When I switch it on, I can use Scratch blocks. I cannot find any documentation about this button.

Hi, test is for us to run program online without uploading to the main board. Before test, do firmware update please. Also here is the reference link on mBlock 5:Beginner's Guide to mBlock 5
By the way, currently mBlock is on beta 5 stage.
