Scratchbot install error on mac

#1

I’m trying to install scratchbot on my mac (Yosemite), but i get an error from the Adobe Air Application Installer: “The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.” I googled a bit, and it seems it has nothing to do with a damaged installer file, but it must be something with permissions or already existing files. It is a common problem with installing Air-programs, but none of the solutions given worked for me. Does anyone have experience with this?
I uninstalled en reinstalled Adobe Air and no luck. I can happily reinstall Scratch 2.0 with the Adobe Air installer, it’s only Scratchbot that’s giving me problems. Maybe there is another version of Scratchbot available that i can try?

Hi @albertepp,

Sorry for the late reply. Please wait for a few days, we are working on a totally updated version of Scratchbot and we change the name to Mblock. The Mac version will come out soon. If you have PC, you could download the software here.

Solved! After i found out this was no generic mac error, i decided to uninstall some parts of Adobe CS5 (Creative Suite). I only kept Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. I think that CS Flash Builder caused the problem, but i’m not sure about that. The fact is that after the removal mBlock installed without problems. I’m very happy and with that i got a considerable tax return today, so it must be my lucky day
