Neuron:

#1

Hi @tec_support / @XW_makeblock,

This is related to:

A) Smart Plant Project: Question on the Display block, etc - 5 Aug 2017

In above, temperature & soil moisture blocks are connected to the display block, the display block ONLY displays the block connected right next to it, as @XW_makeblock already confirmed.

*In another experiment I did & uploaded in YouTube:

B) Makeblock Neuron: Humiture & Display Blocks - 5 Aug 2017 ,
The Display block displays Both the Humidity and Temperature at the same time.

*QN: Since B) can display both Both the Humidity and Temperature, why can’t A) also be able to display Both the Soil moisture & Temperature at the same time?

*For a more delightful customers’ (the users) experience, it is better if the Display can display Both Soil Moisture & Temperature readings at the same time.

Please kindly consider.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Hi IvanHoe,

From the video, you only connect the humidity sensor block to the display. This sensor has its special node mode.
On offline mode, display mode can display to values from the one sensor.
If you want to display two values from two different sensors. The mode node is different and it is not supported now.

On online mode, the display mode doesn’t display two sensors directly. But if you want to challenge the program with the merge text, it can be achieved to display two sensors value.

Hi @Crackel & @tec_support,

Yay! Tried what both of you shared, about displaying both temperature & soil moisture readings on the display and it works. Please see: Makeblock Neuron: Smart Plant Pro. Display Both Sensors Reading In Online Mode) P 1/2 - 1/9/17 and Makeblock Neuron: Smart Plant Pro. Display Both Sensors Reading In Online Mode) P 2/2 - 1/9/17

Though however, the logic about using “merge text” & “text”, upon clicking the “Display” block, still puzzles me. Why must do it this way?

Thank you

Hi IvanHoe,

Actually, it can’t display values from two sensors directly, so we tried this complex way to achieve this project via the merge text" & “text” . Hopefully, there will be instructions to popularize the neuron programming logic.
