I have my mScara up and running and it’s drawing well (a little slow for some things, but it’s working). However, I have a problem with the height of the pen changing as the arm moves across the page. At the initial start position to the 90 degree position up vertical on the paper there is a 10mm height difference. This height difference makes it very difficult to draw larger objects. I must have the pen very low at the initial position in order for it to still be in contact with the paper when the pen is down at an extended reach position. I double checked all the components and bearings and it’s assembled correctly…so i’m at a loss as to how to fix this issue. It seems like would be better if the arm was counter balanced (it would be better supported), but there is no room to do this. I was thinking of making a wedge to place the paper on that was 10mm high at the far end in order to tram the arm movement, but is this the only way? Any advice appreciated.
