Me High-Power Encoder Motor Driver max current

Hi,
The specs of the Me High-Power Encoder Motor Driver states that it can provide 8 Amps. Is this for one channel, or 8 A each?
We are planning to use the driver to control encoder motors that have stall current 5A @12V. Is it possible? Thanks.

Hi Engiz,
That is 8A in total.

You can use it to control motors 5A, but the output voltage of port is 5V, so you need to power the motor by other battery as shown in the picture.
