mBot v1.1 : m4 8mm screw problem

#1

Hi !
I’ve just bought a mBot v1.1, I just started to assemble it.
When I began the fifth step in the “assembly instructions” (when I have to screw the mini wheel with the line follower sensor) it seems that the screws (M4x8mm Screws) didn’t fit well in the holes on the chassis. It feels like the screw are too thin, I can’t screw them and the parts aren’t attached.
I looked to all the parts I have and I found nothing to help me assemble it correctly.
I think there is a problem with the parts I have received. Maybe I did not received the right screws.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Ghinks,

Do you mean it loose when attach the screw M4 X 8mm Screw to the holes on the Chassis?
Normally, these screws on the holes on the Chassis have the same size.
You need use 12 M4 x 8 mm screw while assemble the mBot,and in the part list, there are 16 M4 X 8 Screw.
If one of the screw is thinner, you may assemble with another screw have a try.

Hi, thanks a lot for your response. I thought it is more helpful to make a video about my problem : https://youtu.be/HD3Vqt4CLzQ
You can see all the screws I have in the box, and that the m4 8mm are too thin to fit the holes of the chassis and the other parts of the robots.

Hi Ghinks,

Could you please check if there is no thread in the holes which supposed to fix the ultrasonic sensor?

#5

Hi, I see nothing in the holes

Hi Ghinks,

Normally, there should be screw thread in the two holes.
May I know where did you buy the robot? Please send the receipt of your robot to daisy@makeblock.com, thanks!
