Used the Android app demonstrated here and added a physical joystick for remote fun. Cool, right?
The bot works with Bluetooth module and a forked version of Makeblock-App-For-Android. Lots of rework in order to build with Android Studio. Modifications to orion_firmware.ino were far easier.
