Makeblock mBot USB disconnect ? fail

the robot doesn’t work when I unplug the USB cable??!!!
frustrating.
I made the program, went to arduino mode, clicked on the ‘upload to arduino’ button.
the thing went through some cycle and said complete
the robot starts moving around
but
as soon as I unplug the USB cable, the thing stops.

Can you post your code?

Also, may I assume that the power switch was in the on position and that the batteries were fully charged?

I have the same problem, the mbot works with bluetooth and iphone app but once i discnnect the usb cable from my mac, the mbot does not respond it IR remote or iphone app even when connected through bluetooth

Hi tonymckeon66,

Please check the points which Charles mentioned above like full charge the batteries or change the batteries since mBot may not get enough power from battery only when USB cable was disconnected.
