I don’t have a smartphone. So I couldn’t use the makeblock app for controlling the robot. But now, I use a Lego EV3 as a bluetooth remote control.

If you bought IR version starter kit, you can control it with the IR controller directly.

Yes, thank you! But I have more trust in bluetooth than in infrared, because the bluetooth range is larger than infrared and another disadvantage of infrared is that sunlight may disrupt it.
