Greetings! I just received my mBot Ranger but I haven’t had a chance to start building anything yet.
I LOVE the look of the “Nervous Bird” but I’m worried about the impact of the self-balancing on battery life. More important, I want to be able to program my new robot and that apparently isn’t possible with the Nervous Bird.
Has anyone tried to add a wheel to the back of the Nervous Bird? (So it no longer needs to self-balance.) I guess the Dashing Raptor is similar, but I don’t like the way the metal frame looks.
Alternately, has anyone tried to program a Nervous Bird using Arduino code? I’m assuming that you would need to write your own self-balancing code? Has anyone attempted that?
EDIT: To be clear, I’m wondering about using the kit pieces to add a third wheel. (As opposed to using some homemade solution.)
