How to 2.4 GHz wireless?

Hi,

the bluetooth connection of the ranger works fine. Now I am looking for information to use 2.4 GHz WiFi instead. How can I connect the mBot to my wireless network at home? Will the mbot programming app works also over wireless?

Hi greentux,

The robot you have is the mBot Ranger, it comes with the Bluetooth module by default. There is no 2.4G wireless serial module coming from the Ranger’s package. May I know did you buy a 2.4G wireless serial module individually for the Ranger robot?

Besides,the 2.4G wireless module is to provide a wireless connection between the robot and mBlock software on computer to do online program debug wireless as described in this link. It doesn’t have the function to connect to the home wifi network. Also, the Makeblock APP or mBlock APP for the mBot Ranger not work with wireless network.

Ok, I read in the rangers package:
"Bluetooth/2.4 GHz serial"
So I assume, that 2.4 GHz is installed in the product?

Is there a module on the market with real WiFi connection?

Hi greentux,

That should means the mBot Ranger support both the Bluetooth and 2.4G connection. You can check its part list, there is no 2.4G wireless serial module.

I am afraid that we don’t have such wireless module satisfy your requirement.
