A few small changes I did to mScara:
- Changed the pen to a Sharpie Ultra Fine Point permanent marker.
- Flipped the Orion around to mount it so that the Servo driver port 7 was closer to the servo board, due to the 35cm RJ-25 cable being too short.
- Placed a piece of plexiglass (acrylic) under the mScara to serve as a smooth, flat drawing surface. Use painter’s tape to hold down drawing paper on the acrylic.
- Adjusted the pen up/down to move as minimally as possible to reduce bounce marks.
One bug I’ve seen with mDraw is that it appears to send a Pen Down at the very end of drawing. This lets the ink bleed into the paper. I haven’t traced to see if this was a bug in the svg xml file or in mDraw itself.
