Found a great material for mScara with Laser!

I’d try several different materials for the laser and found out:

1. 75Gsm A4 white paper, poor (I think the power output was drawn out by the motors when turning to some directions, so the lines at different locations of the pictures were disappeared unevenly)

2. Newspaper, better (maybe it is easier to burn in nature XDDD)

3. The bottom side of traditional mouse pad, GREAT!!! (Whenever laser turn on, it can always draw lines successfully)

Looking forward for someone to suggest any other materials for embossing/cutting.

Hi there,
the darker the better because of higher absorption.

Please see below my mEggBot aka “mAppleBot” or “mKiwiBot”. It is obviously harder to get a good focus on items that are not perfectly round but the Kiwi can take a lot of speed.
And you have to modify the frame a little bit to fit the larger size apples. Whats next? Melons
Do not forget to peel before eating…
I also have a XY plotter and will try some (old) leather shoes with a 4W laser.

BUT I have a problem here and maybe someone can help: When in mEggBot mode, the Orion does not switch off the laser where there should be blank lines. Any ideas?
