avrdude: ser_open(): can’t open device “\.\COM8”: Access is denied.
connection keeps dropping when in arduino mode . Both Mbot and on Orion boards , Tired in windows 7 and windows 10
when click commence upload , popup window stops , and connection is gone . reconnect and get the above error.
I have installed arduino library . install full copy of arduino, reinstalled makeblock programme and tried older version.
tried on two separate laptops
tries flipping com ports worked once , not again.
they will however allow upgrade of firmware and default products .
Have bought 4 mots for class and cant use for students , also my own Orion now not working…

Hi curranst01,
Are you sure the COM 8 is the com port for the robots? you can check your robot serial port under your computer’s Device Manager->Ports (COM&LPT), is there a port corresponding to CH340?
If there is no, you may need install the arduino driver for the robots again, here is the link to download the driver.
If the COM8 is the correct port, please make sure this port hasn’t been connected to other software like mBlock.
